RULES
 
Article 1 - Teaching Professionals:
 
  Teaching Professionals employed by the Club are entrusted with the task of teaching golf, including the rules of the game and etiquette. The costs of their services to members and non-members are available at the Academy, Pro-Shop and membership office.  
 
Article 2 - Custody of Equipment:
 
  There is no storage within the Caddy Master''s facility for the clubs of Members but members can use the lockers provided in the changing rooms free of charge. For the outside visitors, published rates for this service are available in the Pro-Shop or membership office.  
 
Article 3 - Property of Members:
 
  The property of Members, guests and visitors entrusted to any member of staff for safe keeping or any other purpose, or left on the Club''s premises, shall be at the sole risk of the Member, guest or visitor. The Club disclaims any responsibility for the loss of, or damage to such property.  
 
Article 4 -Course Marshall and Starter:
 
  The Course Marshall and Starter shall be entrusted with the following tasks:  
 
  1. To inform Members and players of everything related to the game including the pace of play, compliance of etiquette rules and the enforcement of the dress code.
  2. To monitor the tee times of players and ensure that playing schedules are complied with at all times and act as the official starter.
  3. To control the game and the condition of the course at all times. In consultation with the Head Professional, cessation or suspension of play will be determined in the event of adverse weather conditions such as heavy rainfall or lightening.
 
 
Article 5 - Surveillance and Security:
 
  All Members and their guests and all other players are obligated to accept the following conditions relating to Club surveillance and security:  
 
  1. All Members must place the Club Membership bag tag in a visible position on their bags.
  2. Non Members must show, if requested, the payment voucher for their green fees.
  3. All players must comply with any request regarding playing fluency or maintenance of the golf course, as well as compliance with etiquette rules.
 
 
Article 6 - Suggestions and Comments:
 
  Suggestions and comments shall be made in writing and addressed to the Club Manager or Membership office. The Management reserves the right and has full discretion with regards to response.  
 
Article 7 - Handicap Certificates:
 
  All players must carry a Handicap Certificate or a Certificate issued by a recognised Golfing Association or Federation.

Article 8 - Animals and Noise:
 
  Members and visitors are prohibited from bringing dogs and other domestic pets on to the course. All electronic devices such as mobile phones which make noise and interfere with play are forbidden on the course.  
 
Article 9 - Consideration for other Players:
 
  The players should respect each other and behave respectfully. No arguments amongst players should take part on the course. Any disagreement must be reported to the Head Professional or Marshall.

No one should move, talk or stand close to or directly behind the ball or the hole when a player is addressing the ball or making a stroke.
 
 
Article 10 - Pace of Play:
 
  Players should play without delay. Players searching for a ball should signal the players behind them to pass as soon as it becomes apparent that the ball will not be easily found. They should not search for five minutes before doing so. They should not continue play until the players following them have passed and are out of range.

Any group not proceeding at the speed of the course must allow the players behind play through as soon as it is practicable.
When the play of a hole has been completed players should immediately leave the putting green.

If a match fails to keep its place on the course and loses more than one clear hole on the players in front it should invite the match following to pass through.

The Starter or Course Marshall has the right to direct certain players to play from forward tees if they do not demonstrate the stipulated level of play.
 
 
Article 11 - Care of the Course:
 
  Before leaving a bunker a player should use one of the rakes to fill and smooth over all holes and footprints made by him/her.

Players must replace divots at all times.

Players must repair pitch marks at all times.

Through the green, a player should ensure that any turf cut or displaced by him/her is replaced immediately and pressed down. Damage to the putting green made by a ball must be repaired with care.
 
 
Article 12 - Play:
 
  Head Professional, Official Starter or Course Marshall have the right to ask any player to leave the course who in their opinion does not demonstrate the minimum standard of play or who does not observe either the etiquette or rules of golf.

Members, their guests and all visitors must not retrieve balls other than their own from any lake.

As a general rule, fourballs should give way to foursomes, threeballs and twoballs.

During busy periods Members are requested to play in fourballs only.

No more than fourballs are permitted.

Playing with practice balls is prohibited.
Members can only play with one ball at any time and at no time can they practice on the course.

Golf shoes with soft spikes must be worn at all times on the course. No other type of shoe is permitted.

Each player shall have his/her own set of Golf Clubs and no sharing is permitted.

Any player who is considered to have drunk an excess amount of alcohol will not be permitted to play.

Members'' reserved Tee Times are clearly outlined in the Golf Reservations System. Non members will not be able to use these times without the personal consent of the Head Professional or the professional teaching staff.
 
 
Article 13 - Starting Times:
 
  Starting times are at 10 minute intervals made up in groups of fourballs. Players booking two and threeballs may therefore be expected to be paired up with another group.  
 
Article 14 - Golf Buggies:
 
 
Golf Buggies must remain on the buggy paths and must strictly follow the signage on the course. They may not be driven onto the roped off areas. It is at the Head Professional discretion as to whether buggies are allowed on fairways and rough at any given time. If allowed, the 90 degree rule will apply. Drivers should be a minimum of 16 years of age.

In order to speed up play golf buggies and trolleys should be left at the exit from the green or adjacent to the next Tee whenever possible.
 
 
Article 15 - Clubhouse:
 
  Dress Code: The Head Professional and Club Management have the authority to decide if a player is suitably dressed or not. Players not wearing the appropriate attire will be respectfully requested to comply with the high standards of Korineum Golf and Country Club. The following code applies:

Trousers must not be made of denim material; tracksuits, tennis and other leisure wear are not permitted.

Shorts must be tailored.

Men''s shirts must have collars, long or short sleeves and must be worn inside the trousers at all times. Football and rugby style polo shirts are not considered golf dress.
Ladies T-shirts without a collar must have sleeves. Ladies T-shirts with a collar may be sleeveless.

Metal spiked shoes are not permitted anywhere within the golf and country club. No exception will be made for shoes with non-removable spikes. Soft spikes must be worn and shoes must be of a recognized golf brand. Tennis shoes, trainers and hiking shoes are not considered golf dress.

Members are responsible for advising their guests of the Dress Code.

Failure to comply with any of these regulations will result in players being asked to leave the course.
 
 
Article 16 - Guests and Green Fee Visitors:
 
  Green fee visitors will be permitted to book starting times daily except any dates specified as being for Members only. There is no limit to the number of rounds that may be played in any one year at the full green fee rate.

A member may not sign in a guest with whom he or she is not personally acquainted.

Members are ultimately responsible for the payment of the Members unaccompanied guest''s fee.
 
 
Article 17 - Annual Dues:
 
  Annual dues must be paid not later than 31st January each year.

Any Members not paying his/her annual dues by January 31st will receive a surcharge of 20%.

Any Member who still has not paid his/her dues by 1st April will cease to be a Member of the Club.
